MUSIC DIRECTOR/CONDUCTOR: …for a 23 piece ORCHESTRA and a 35-piece Vocal Ensemble.* Good command of an orchestra and/or chorus of any size/style.

  • The ability to write music for virtually every musical instrument.
  • Lead and conduct rehearsals, and help musicians and singers blend with others.
  • Prepare musical arrangements for musicians and singers in their
  •    proper key, to achieve their best possible comfort and sound.
  • Study a musical scores to encourage musicians to learn music and   produce maximum sound for the rehearsals and performances.
  • Selecting music: Choosing compositions and arrangements for   performances, and selecting guest performers and soloists
  •    prepare for performances:
  • The ability to review and interpret musical scores and study them to prepare for rehearsals and performances.
  • *he ability to ensure that musicians play with one coherent sound, balancing the melody, timing, rhythm, and volume.
  • The ability to perform the difficult and frustrating task of
  •     reviewing auditions, which can take many different auditions to
  •    find the best musicians & singers.
  • * The ability to work well with composers, musicians, singers,
  •    recording studio personnel and a variety of of people.
